REST IS MORE.

and so i took a break. 

i think you can tell. 

a physical one, a mental one and a cyber one. 

just a week shy from my return from the land of smiles - oh how i love that pretty place! i am getting ready to pack my bags again. 

h&m, here i come. 

the last i looked, i only have 80plus MB left in my phone. 

boo. i still remember my friend telling me that i would never use up the memory of my trusty phone. 

i can give you 101 reasons why i love my phone and 1 reason why i don't.

HAPPY OLD THINGS -

there's just something about old buildings that i love. 

looking at their facade alone makes me think of the things they weathered through the years. 

looking at one of these buildings is kinda like looking at someone's face.

as they speak, you study their faces and read between the lines.

chinese new year is here. 

you kinda know/feel it when you eat more and at shorter intervals.

happy that i got mum's brekkie the day before to last me till a number of days later till i get to eat home cooked food again.

this picture marries two huge occasions, one, a custom, and the other a culture, yet both celebrations in their own right; perfectly. 

counting down to valentine's day and chinese new year in 5. 

it's a triple whammy for me, because it's also my daddy's special day. 

oh, did i mention that it is also a sunday and happy church day?

WAVES MAKE YOU STRONGER.

i went for a swim like i usually do every monday.

it's a pretty good rest thing for me.

from afar, i saw a bigger guy coming alongside me in the opposite direction. 

and oh i saw those waves coming.

as they drew closer to me, those waves, i began to pull my strokes with greater force, quicken my momentum and kick a little harder to ensure that i kept on track and oh, didn't swallow any water. 

and that's when it came to me. 

how waves make you stronger. 

you might struggle a little to keep your balance, perhaps push yourself a little harder, or maybe even put in a little more to keep yourself on course.

but they most certainly won't kill you. 

oh but when they pass, you'll realize that you've just gotten a little bit tougher.

thank you for the waves that have made me stronger.

it's funny how i've been to the club time and again but never noticed these seeds. 

it's kinda like doing the same thing over again but realizing that there's always more to discover each time you look.

it's cool that life is a mystery. 

you get to be a part of it as a new chapter begins.

- KFC launches their yummy egg tarts in singapore!

i've wished/hoped/waited a long time for this. 

isn't is divine that i now only read the papers on weekends? 

God is so good to me (: 

within the hour, my mum brought some of these yummy things home for me! 

what a wonderful start to the weekend!

my friend stops by a shop to buy preserved fruit and i got bored waiting. 

i was busy fidgeting about until their names caught my eye. 

some really interesting names, i must say.

i used to learn css in school and i'm still (occasionally)pretty bummed that i didn't pay much attention to it. 

can remember some, but not much.

it could sure come in useful to what i wanna do now. 

like make a gif. 

it isn't that difficult and you could follow steps to do it, if you have time, but i don't really have much now; so there's this!

we were talking after work and a colleague asked where we'd like our weddings to be. 

one said church and another said hotel. 

i said "beach" in a heartbeat.

it's time for a new look, for now :) 

off to do some work before i hit the sack.

A WALK IN THE PARK

i did it. 

i took time out to waste a little time today and i took a walk in the park.

also managed to make time for friends at a wake today and found out that their gramps was from the same church as my first. there's a service on tonight and i don't know if they will meet him tonight. 

i don't really know if i want them to. 

this world is way too small. 

4 more hours till my sis comes back with a HUGE stash of h&m, or so i heard. 

it's been an awesome sat so far.

NO TIME TO WASTE.

and so i grabbed my ipod and shuffled the songs. 

this song played out. a song i used to like and play on repeat mode the very moment i got hold of it. 

sometimes it is nice to waste time. 

you heard me right. 

to find time to do nothing. 

not all the time because it will lose its novelty. 

but once in awhile, it is necessary. 

to just sit by the beach and...

watch the birds feed on food leftover by beach rompers. 

watch the sweat fall off joggers passing by. 

count the number of tandem bikes wheezing past. 

watch wanna-be fishermen draw in their catch. 

watch little kids run scurry around, fly kites, walk their dogs. 

watch the clouds roll by. 

it's about time to make time to waste time
